Top 10 Europen countries with WInd Power Generation in January 2022
European wind energy is growing rapidly in 2022.
In January 2022, the top 10 countries in Europe generated 38.8 kGWh of wind power, accounting for 88% of Europe's monthly electricity generation.
Germany has a wind power generation capacity of 16 kGWh in January, making it the only country in Europe to exceed 10 kGWh, accounting for 33% of the total electricity generation in Europe and playing a crucial role in the renewable energy industry in Europe; The second tier includes Spain, Sweden, and France, all with power generation exceeding 3 kGWh.
Although the power generation is only 2.3 kGWh, Denmark ranks 6th and is known as the "Wind Kingdom", with wind power accounting for 79% of the country's renewable energy generation.
Moreover, Norway has long been under the jurisdiction of Denmark in its history, and the relationship between the two countries is relatively good. Denmark has cooperated with some of Norway's hydroelectric power generation, and the combination of the two perfectly solves the problem of unstable wind energy.
Although Norway is not on the list, it has close cooperation with Denmark in areas such as economy, energy, and electricity. It has abundant oil and natural gas resources, as well as abundant hydropower resources. In addition, Norway has fewer people and more land, making hydroelectric power not only sufficient for the entire population, but also able to develop the high-energy electrolytic aluminum industry with excess electricity.
